Salida offers a full spectrum of choices from burritos and burgers to gourmet fine-dining. Whether you want to get a great steak or go vegetarian, Salida’s numerous eateries have you covered. Imaginative offerings range from American, Mexican, Italian, Greek, and Thai to inventive food trucks. Many restaurants also have live music and full bars. An emerging, exciting craft libation scene complements the food offerings.
A number of businesses offer seasonal outdoor dining, sometimes in back courtyards, sometimes right on sidewalks. Bars and breweries provide libations for relaxing after a hard day of recreating as well as featuring live weekend entertainment.
Salida’s SteamPlant Event Center, at one time the city’s electrical power plant, now hosts a theater, ballroom and meetings in a beautiful setting right on the Arkansas. Something is going on at the SteamPlant virtually every weekend and sometimes during the week as well.
